Best Reward

I just bought a laptop used Dell Inspiron 17 R in order to be able to transfer video and sound with WIDI to  the dongle miracast "ScreenBeam Mini 2"  but I can not, I read all the necessary specifications before buy this laptop to avoid mistakes and I decided on this model, which meet the requirements and the price they could pay

Dell Inspiron 17R

Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M (2nd generation)

Wireless card: Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030

Use the "Update Tool Intel WiDi" and everything works fine, when  asked to install the update missing "Intel Wireless Display Software version 4.2.29.0" begins the installation but eventually gives an error and says that my computer does not meet the requirements.

I must say that this computer comes with Intel WiDi software preinstalled but does not capture the signal from the dongle miracast

I hope you can help me as it would be unpleasant in all the descriptions I've read I say that this laptop is compatible and prove that it is not

Thank You

P.D. Sorry for my very bab english

Intel WiDi lässt sich nicht installieren

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Laptop der inzwischen ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist. Dennoch lief auf ihm seinerzeit WiDi.

CPU: Intel Core i3-2367M

Grafik: Intel HD Graphics 3000

WiFi: Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000

Sollte also alles für WiDi bereit sein.

Ich habe das Intel WiDi Update Tool benutzt, welches leider mit folgendem Hinweis abbricht: "Installation Failed: WiDi component installation failed. You can install it from following link: http://www.intel.com/support/go/iknow/gh/2591.htm"

Folge ich dem Link erhalte ich folgenden Hinweis: "This computer does not meet the Intel WiDi system requirements."

----------------------

Hello community,

I own a laptop which gotten a bit old lately, but nevertheless it was running WiDi before.

CPU: Intel Core i3-2367M

Grafik: Intel HD Graphics 3000

WiFi: Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000

Everything should be ready for WiDi.

I was using the Intel WiDi Update Tool, but it quits with the following messages: "Installation Failed: WiDi component installation failed. You can install it from following link: http://www.intel.com/support/go/iknow/gh/2591.htm"

Following the link will take me to a page with this message: "This computer does not meet the Intel WiDi system requirements."

I'm trying to set it up on a Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview (Build 10074). And it is "just" missing the installation of the  Intel Wireless Display Software. It's also not installing in compatibility mode.

How is able to help?

Any way to use WiDi through LAN?

So basically I have a desktop computer that I built (ASUS Z97-C, i5 4690k, GTX 960, 16 GB DDR3 RAM Win 8.1). I currently dont have a wireless card in it, I'm using a regular cable and router setup to connect to the internet, my router also has WiFi.

My question is that is it possible to use WiDi with this setup through LAN or do I have no other option than to either buy a long hdmi cable or a wifi adapter?

Hi everyone,

Przechwytywanie.PNG

I've installed Intel WiDi and connected to my TV Philips 42PFH6309 and it worked... only once.

Right now when I'm trying to connect, it doesnt't work. Nevertheless TV is visible in the program. Drivers are up to date.

Unfortunately reinstallation of the drivers for WiDi, graphics and network card didn't bring any results. Still the same problem and connection is not possible.

Just to add, from the beginning there was no option to add wireless diplay in the charms menu.

Let me know please, if you have soultion how to fix this issue.

Best regards,

Karol

WiDi connects to Samsung TV and disconnects right away (Win 8.1)

Hey there,

I tried to connect from my WiDi laptop (Samsung NP-730U3E, running Windows 8.1) to my Samsung Smart TV (Samsung UE40H6400). It connects fine, then right away the TV screen flickers and I get disconnected message ("screen mirroring has ended"). At the same time, laptop lets out a sound of device connecting and disconnecting right away and screen flickers.

I have already:

- updated WiDi drivers (both the automatic update as well as enforced newest WiDi drivers)

- updated graphic drivers

- checked windows firewall rules (tried both adding exceptions as well as turning firewall off)

- updated WiFi drivers

Intel SIU Reference Number: 0289 5868 (SIU report attached)

Any ideas what can be wrong and how to fix it?

WiDi connection problem with LG smart TV

Hello,

I use an INTEL® DUAL BAND WIRELESS-AC 7260 card to use Intel WiDi technology.

I work with :

- Windows 8.1 64bit

- i5 4590

- a second graphics card ATI Radeon R9 (Intel HD Graphics is set as primary in BIOS)

I need to project the screen on LG 60LA740S which is compatible with WiDi / Miracast.

Unfortunately, TV is found, connection is launched, LG TV enable the WiDi connection and it finally shows "{pcname} is disconnected"

FYI :

- All drivers are installed and updated (Wireless Card, Windows Updates, Intel HD Graphics and LG Firmware)

- I tried to disabled the Anti-Virus and Windows Firewall

- Miracast works with Android phone

- I tried to configure / disable Wireless-N and AC in the ISP box.

What's wrong ?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards.

P.S. : Support request form doesn't work (Firefox 37.0.2 - Windows 8.1)

Intel HD Graphics 5500 + Windows 8.1 + MS Wireless Display Adapter + Sony 1080P TV = 1366x768

$

No idea if this is the correct place for this question.

Just bought a widi adapter and found that the maximum resolution of the second display (Sony TV) available for selection is 1366x768 only. Supposed it should be 1080P.

The adapter is already feeding 1080P signal to the TV but it seems Windows 8.1 is just feeding 1366x768 signal to the adapter.

Any idea from anyone?

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter and Dell Latitude E7440 (C9JTVZ1)

$

0

I have a Dell Latitude E7440. This Device has:

- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4600U CPU @ 2.10GHz

- Intel Wireless 7260 AC

- Intel HD Graphics 4400

Installed is Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro. There is no VPN or Virtualization Software installed. All the drivers are current (from intel website) and alle the firmwares are up to date.

- Driver Graphics: 10.18.14.4170 / 16.03.2015

- Driver Wifi: 17.16.0.4 / 23.03.2015

The issue starts with, that I have not the option to add a wireless display in the chars menu. I get the classic selection of the 4 display modi (single, mirror, extend, only 2nd).

I ran dxdiag and in the textfile of the tool it says, that Miracast is not supported by Wifi Driver.

My understanding is, that the Miracast Adapter is compatible to this Wifi Adapter, the Wifi Adapter was designed for WiDi but it "downgrades" to Miracast. Anyhow, I don't know if the dxdiag is actually an indicator of a problem or actually true, as the wifi adapter does WiDi and therefore not declaring Miracast Support to the System.

I also checked if I can add the adapter manually through "add device", but the device does not get listed.

The absence of the "add wireless display" is as far as I can see the key to get it working, but so far I had no success in getting Windows to the point showing that option.

Just to make clear, my WiFi Adapter settings has no addition in it, there is no vpn or virtualization software installed. No Fritzbox Remotedesktop Software and no GPO from the domain, that limits AddHoc Networks.

Any help is appriciated.

regards

Philipp

Hi.

I recently bought a new LG Smart TV model no: 49UB8300 which is Intel WiDi enabled but my laptop's WiDi is not locating my TV's adapter. I installed WiDi / Wifi Dashboard / PROSet/Wireless Software by downloading and running the Intel WiDi Update Tool.

I have already restarted my laptop, TV and adjusted my wirewall settings but still WiDi is not locating any adapters. Also, I have updated all my laptop drivers using Intel's Driver Update Utility tool and Dell's support tool.

TV's firmware is working fine as I am able to mirror other devices.

Below are the details.

- Dell Latitude E6410

- Windows 7 Enterprise; 32 Bit ; Service Pack 1

- Intel Core i5 CPU M560 @ 2.67GHz

- Display Adapter - Intel HD Graphics Version 8.15.10.2993

- Network Adapter - Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6200 AGN; Driver Version - 15.15.0.1

- Intel Widi Version - 3.0.13.0

- Intel My Wifi Dashboard Version - 15.6.0

- Intel PROSet/Wireless Software Version - 16.11.0

Please advise on how to solve this issue.

I have updated all the drivers that I could find, the firmware of my TV and still nothing. Also disabled the firewall without any WiDi connection. Does anyone has any idea?

Thank you in advance

Choppy PowerPoint & Video Not Smooth

$

Using a Surface Pro 3 (built in WiDi) to Netgear PTV3000; Denon AV receiver; Epson 3020e projector.

Fairly standard and simple transitions and animations in PowerPoint 2013 (like dissolves, wipes, etc.) are not smooth at all. In fact they're quite choppy.

Everything's fine if hardwiring HDMI connections. But as soon as I unplug to go WiDi, it's unacceptably bad. in fact, it even looks choppy on the Surface display! What's that one all about?

There is latency/lag making a mouse nearly impossible to use with the WiDi adapters. I did try other receivers/adapters (IOgear, StarTech, NetGear). Only the ActionTec had very little lag... but it kept dropping the signal and had poor range and sync issues.

Hi def video alone even off YouTube seems fine, but this whole system was put together for PowerPoint presentations.  I thought that'd be the easy part.

It's frustrating because testing an iPad to Apple TV is perfectly smooth (and has little lag for that matter). So the concept should work.

TIA for any guidance on this one.

Cheers.

Hello! I'm having a lot of troubles in mirroring my surface pro 3 to my LG TV. I read that Surface Pro 3 won't connect with Intel WiDi but it can't be true because some days ago I succeeded in it. But now the devices don't recognize each other.

I downloaded Intel Media Share and Intel WiDi remote. Now I'm downloading Intel Wireless Display Software.
